If your server requires a uthentication to
download the firmware file , enter the name
of the user account, the p assword, and
confirm the password. O therwise leave the
USERNAME, PAS SWORD and CONFIRM
PASSWORD text fields emp ty.
Enter the full path and file na me to the .bcd
file of the new firmware into the PATH ON
SERVER text field.
Press the UPGRA DE NOW button to start
the upgrade process.
D Note: Once the firmware upgr ade is
complete, the LAN D ocking Station will
restart. You may get disconne cted from the configuration in terface.
3.11 Res etting to factory defau lts
Follow these steps to reset t he LAN Docking Station to i ts factory default config uration settings:
B Warning: When you reset the LAN Docking Station, all your configuration settings will be lost.
Make sure that the LAN Doc king Station is connected to t he main power supply using the
Philips power supply.
Slide a Digital pocket Me mo 9600 or 9620 into the docking s lot of the LAN Docking Stat ion.
Press and hold the FUNC TION and the MENU butto n on the Digital Pocket Memo
simultaneously for 3 se conds.
The configuration set tings of the LAN Docking St ation will reset to their facto ry defaults,
and the LAN Docking St ation will restart. Th e IP address of the LAN Dockin g Station will be
set to 192.168.109.1 (subnet mask 255.255.255.0 ).
Open the LAN Docki ng Station configuration inte rface by entering its IP add ress in your
Web browser.
You will be prompted to enter a user na me and a password. Leave the user nam e field empty
and enter ‚administr ator‘ in the PASSWORD field.
Change the IP address of the L AN Docking Station accordi ng to your network policy. See
Changing the IP address of the L AN Docking Station on p age 13 for more information.
