3 Configuration
Once the LAN Docking S tation is connected to the net work, it can be configured usin g a simple
HTML interface from a ny HTML4-compliant Web browser.
There is also an Administr ation Tool that can be used to manage and upd ate the configuration
settings of several L AN Docking Stations (batc h update). See LAN Docking St ation Administration
Tool on page 18 for more information.
To open the LAN Docking Stati on configuration interf ace, follow these steps:
Open a Web browser on your PC.
Enter the IP address of the L AN Docking Station that you w ant to configure into the address
field of the Web browser.
The Web browser prompts you for a user n ame and password. Leave the user na me field
empty and enter the admi nistrator password. If you ar e accessing the configuration in terface
for the first time, the def ault password is ‚administr ator‘.
The configuration inte rface appears with the fol lowing panels: Status, IP se ttings, FTP
settings, Automati c file upload, Comments, Fir mware upgrade and Administra tor password.
