Enter your changes direc tly in the fields of the Administr ation Tool’s main pane.
Click the SUBMIT CH ANGES button in the botto m right corner of the form. An over view
of the settings is displ ayed. These settings will be sent t o the LAN Docking Station s after
confirmation by clickin g the OK button. The result of the o peration of each LAN Dock ing
Station is shown in a result wi ndow. Clicking the CANCEL but ton will close the overview,
but will keep the new settin gs stored for later submission . Upon clicking the UNDO
CHANGES button, a ny stored settings will be dele ted.
D Note: Settings can onl y be uploaded to LAN Dockin g Stations that are currently o nline.
C Important: Chang es made to a single LAN Docking S tation have precedence over any
settings made in the glob al settings form that apply t o the same LAN Docking Sta tion!
4.9 Upgrading the firmware of LAN Dock ing Stations
Download the latest firmwa re (.bce file) from www.philips.com /dictation
Save the .bcd file to to a network lo cation that the LAN Docki ng Station can access. This ca n
be an FTP server or an HT TP Web server.
Click on the FIRMWARE UP GRADE button on the sym bol bar of the Administration Tool
Select the type of ser ver (FTP, SFTP, HTTP) where the .bcd file is s aved.
Enter the domain name or I P address of the server hosting t he firmware file into the SERVER
field.
Enter the port numbe r of your server into the PORT field. U nless your server is configured
to use non-standard po rt numbers, you should use 21 for an F TP server, 22 for an SFTP
connection and 80 for an HT TP Web server.
If your server requires a uthentication to download the fi rmware file, enter the name of th e
user account, the pas sword, and confirm the password. O therwise leave the USER NAME,
PASSWORD and CONFIRM PAS SWORD text fields empty.
Enter the full path and file na me to the .bcd file of the new firmware into t he PATH ON
SERVER text field.
Press the UPGRA DE NOW button to start the upg rade process.

FIRMWARE column of the Admi nistration Tool’s main pane.
