2.13Disconnecting the Model 1104 for Storage or Seasonal Use.

If you plan to employ the Model 1104 as a seasonal “watchdog” for a few months during the year, you must disconnect all wires

from the unit completely to avoid damage to the circuitry

when the unit is not in use. If the unit is unplugged but left in place with all the sensors still connected, the wires act as antennae that draw in any stray “electrical noise” from such devices as fans, blowers, microwaves, etc.

Additionally, it is important to remove the batteries, or they will discharge until they fail.

Preserve your Model 1104 during the off-season, or when not in use:

Remove the sensor wires at the screw terminals

Remove the batteries

Unplug the unit and store in a safe place
