!Youcan use this unit to control an iPod by
usinga cable (e.g., CD-IU50), which is sold
separately.
!Ifan iPod with video capabilities is con-
nectedto this unit via interface cable (e.g.
CD-IU50V),which is sold separately, you can
enjoythe video contents of the iPod as the
iPodsource. In this case, set the AUX1 to
iPod.Refer to Switching the auxiliary setting
onpage 51.

Showswhich source has been selected.
2Repeatindicator
Showswhen repeat range is set to or .
3Songnumber indicator
Upto 65 535 can be displayed as the song
number.
4Shuffleindicator
Showswhen random play is set to Songs or
Albums.
5Songinformation
Showsdetailed information of currently
playingsong.
1 Touchthe source icon and then touch
iPodto select the iPod.
Whileconnected to this unit, PIONEER,Acces-
soryAttached or (check mark) is displayed
onthe iPod.
#Whenthe source icon is not displayed, you
candisplay it by touching the screen.
#TouchHide to hide the touch panel keys.
#Beforeconnecting the dock connector of this
unitto the iPod, disconnect the headphones from
theiPod.
#Dependingon the model of iPod or the data
sizein the iPod, there may be a delay to start play-
ingafter connection.
#Afterthe iPod has been connected to this
unit,use touch panel keys to select the iPod.
#Whenremoving the iPod from this unit, this
unitis turned off.
2 Toskip back or forward to another
song/video,touch oor p.
#Youcan also skip back or forward to another
song/videoby pressing cor d(TRK).
3 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
keeptouching oor p.
Whenvideo is playing, if you keep touching
oorpfor five seconds, the icon mor
nishighlighted. When this happens, fast
reverse/fastforward continues even if youre-
leaseoor p. To resume playback at a de-
siredpoint, touch f.
#Youcan also perform fast reverse/fast forward
bypressing and holding cor d(TRK).
4 Whenplaying a file with chapter, touch
oorpto select a chapter.

!Connectdirectly the dock connector cable to
theiPod so that this unit works properly.
!Whenthe ignition switch is set to ACC or ON,
theiPods battery is charged while the iPod is
connectedto this unit.
!Whilethe iPod is connected to this unit, the
iPodcannot be turned on or off.
!TheiPod is turned off about two minutes after
theignition switch is set to OFF.
!Ifspecific information is not recorded on the
iPod,No xxxx will be displayed (e.g.,
NoName).
