Changing the pictureadjustment
Youcan adjust the Brightness (brightness),
Contrast(contrast), Color (color) ,Hue (hue),
Dimmer(dimmer), Temperature (tempera-
ture)and Black Level (black level) for each
sourceand rear view camera.
!Youcannot adjust Color,Hue,Contrast
andBlack Level for the audio source.
1 TouchPicture Adjustment on the sys-
temmenu.
Theadjustment function names are displayed.
2 Touchany of the following touch panel
keysto select the function to be adjusted.
Toswitch between groups of touch panel keys,
touchNEXT or PREV.
!BrightnessAdjusts the black intensity
!ContrastAdjusts the contrast
!ColorAdjusts the color saturation
!HueAdjusts the tone of color (red is em-
phasizedor green is emphasized)
!DimmerAdjust the brightness of display
!TemperatureAdjusts the color tempera-
ture,resulting in a better white balance
!BlackLevel Emphasizes dark portion on
imagesso that the difference between
brightnessand darkness becomes more
distinct
!RearView/Source Switch the picture ad-
justmentmodes
#Youcannot adjust the picture adjustment for
rearview camera when Camera Polarity is set to
Off.(Refer to Setting for rear viewcamera (back up
camera)on the next page.)
#Ifcolor system is set to PAL/PAL-M/SECAM,
youcannot adjust Hue.
#Withsome rear view cameras, picture adjust-
mentmay not be possible.
3 Touchcor dto adjust the selected
item.
Eachtime you touch cor dit increases or de-
creasesthe level of selected item. +24 to 24
isdisplayed as the level is increased or de-
creased.
#Temperaturecan be adjusted from +3 to 3.
#BlackLevel can be set on or off.

Adjusting the dimmer

Toprevent the display from being too bright at
night,the display is automatically dimmed
whenthe car s headlights are turned on.You
canturn the dimmer on or off.

Eachtime you touch cor dit moves cursor
towardsthe left or the right.
Thelevel indicates the brightness of the
screenbeing adjusted. The farther the cursor
movesto the right, the brighter the screen
becomes.
Setting the AV input
Youcan switch the setting according to the
connectedcomponent.
!SelectVideo to watch video of a connected
componentas AV source.
!SelectEXT-Video to watch video of a con-
nectedvideo unit as EXT source.
!SelectTV to watch TV pictures from a con-
nectedTV tuner as TV source.
