Purpose

Moves the logical print head to the left one character space toward the first column.

Comment When configured for backspace (in P–Series printer protocol), BS moves the char- acter position indicator (the logical print head position) one character space to the left at the current character pitch setting. The code is ignored if the logical print head is positioned at the first character column. When the backspace code is received, printing speed for the print line may be reduced to half.
