Installation

This section describes how to install and configure the SANbox2-16 switch. It also describes how to load new firmware.

4.1

Site Requirements

Consider the following items when installing a SANbox2-16 switch:

Fabric management workstation

Power requirements

Environmental conditions

4.1.1

Fabric Management Workstation

The requirements for fabric management workstations running SANbox Manager are described in Table 4-1:

Internet Browser	Microsoft® Internet Explorer® or Netscape Navigator®

Telnet workstations require an RJ-45 Ethernet port or an RS-232 serial port and an operating system with a Telnet client.

Switch Power Requirements

Operating voltage requirements are as follows: 90 to 137 Vac; 47 to 63 Hz

180 to 265 Vac; 47 to 63 Hz
