￿The charger unit or various roller and plates may be dirty. See chapter 6, “Mainte- nance,” for instructions on how to clean these parts.

￿Check for a Printing need More memory error message in the message win- dow. The job may have been too complex for the amount of memory currently installed in the printer. If so, add more memory.

1Check for media jams.

Check the inside of the printer for media in the laser beam path.

2Ensure that the transfer unit is closed.

4Ensure that the toner cartridges are not empty.
