Even though this is the section about cleaning the duplexer, do not forget to
clean the printer’s paper exit rollers, too.
16 Clean the registration rollers with a dry cotton cloth.
17 Close the printer’s top cover.
18 If you have a duplex model, close the duplexer’s rear cover.
19 Plug the printer in and turn it on.

In compliance with UL guidelines: The appliance inlet is considered to be
the main disconnect device.
14 Pull the latch to release the top cover,
and then open the cover.
»Note:
The illustrations for steps 14 and 15
show the printer without the duplexer.
However, the instructions are the same for
both models.
Caution:
If you have a duplex model,
make sure you have opened the
duplexer’s rear cover first. Forced opening
of the top cover first may damage the unit.
15 Using a dry cotton cloth, clean the
paper exit rollers.
While manually rotating each paper exit
roller, clean each roller.
