The following example displays settings for the trap function.

Time Commands

The system clock can be dynamically set by polling a set of specified time ser vers

(NTP or SNTP). Maintaining an accurate time on the switch enables the system log

to record meaningful dates and times for event entries. If the clock is not set, the

switch will only record the time from the factory default set at the last bootup.

Field Description
Syslog logging Shows if system logging has bee n enabled via the logging on command.
REMOTELOG status Shows if remote logging has bee n enabled via the logging trap command.
REMOTELOG
facility type
The facility type for remote logging of syslog messages as specified in the logging
facility command.
REMOTELOG level type The severity threshold for syslog messages sent to a remote server as spe cified in
the logging trap command.
REMOTELOG
server IP address
The address of syslog servers as specified in the logging host command.
