Using the ND Filter

You can use the built-in ND filter of the camera according to the brightness of the object to be shot. Select the ND filter setting on the ND filter select switch at the bottom of the camera block.

Note

You can check the current setting of the ND filter select switch in the EXPOSURE menu, but you cannot change the setting in the menu.

The COLOR menu is used to adjust the white balance and the color.

WHITE BALANCE (white balance mode)

Select the white balance mode from among the following:

AUTO, INDOOR, OUTDOOR, ONE PUSH, MANUAL

When you select WHITE BALANCE, some of the following setting items that are required for the selected mode appear.

WB SENS: When an object is shot under a reddish light source such as an incandescent lamp, candle, or under a bluish light source such as in the shade, you can adjust the red or blue tint. Set WB SENS to HIGH to reduce the red or blue tint, and set it to LOW to increase a red or blue tint. This function is not effective in the sun.

WB SHIFT: You can shift the white balance focusing point to your favorite red or blue tint in automatic white balance mode. The adjustable range is from – 7 to +7. It shifts toward a red tint in the + direction, and a blue tint in the – direction.

R. GAIN, B. GAIN: When you select MANUAL, R. GAIN (red gain) and B. GAIN (blue gain) appear. Adjustable range of each item is from –128 to +127

When ONE PUSH is selected

Zoom in on a white subject in the center of the screen and press the HOME button of the supplied Remote Commander. The one-push white balance adjustment is activated.

When you are using the RM-BR300 remote control unit (not supplied), pressing the button on the top of the joystick or the ONE PUSH AWB button activates the one-push white balance adjustment.
