Entering owner information

You can enter a name, company name, or phon e number of the CLIÉ handheld owner. If you have used the

Security application to turn off and lock your CLIÉ handhe ld with a password, the information that you ent er

in Preferences appears the next time you turn on your CLIÉ handheld.

To enter owner information, proceed as follows:

1Tap th e Home icon.

The Application Launcher starts up.

2From the drop-down list in the top right-hand co rner, select System.

The System screen appears.

3Tap th e Prefs icon.

The Preferences screen appears.

4From the drop-down list in the top right-hand co rner, select Owner.

5Enter the owner information.

If you enter more text than can fi t on one screen, a scroll bar appe ars at the right side of the screen .

If you use the security application to assign a password, to ent er/edit the owner inform ation, you have to unlock the Owner Preferences screen to

change the information.

To unlock the Owner Preferences screen, p roceed as follows:

2Select System from th e drop-down list in the top right-hand corner.

The System screen appears.

3Tap th e Prefs icon.

The Preferences screen appears.

4From the drop-down list, select Owner.
