Assigning a password
You can assign a password to protect your private rec ords and to lock your CLIÉ handheld.
To enter a password, proceed as follows:
1Rotate the Jog Dial™ to select Security and then press the Jog Dial™.
Alternatively, tap the Security icon in the Application Launcher screen.
The Security screen appears.
2Tap Unassigned.
The Password dialog box appears.
3Enter a password and then tap OK.
The dialog box for verifying the password appears.
4Enter the same password again to v erify it and then tap OK.
Your password is now assigned.
Changing or deleting a password
You can change or delete the password you assigned. You have to enter the current password before you
can change or delete it.
To change or delete your password, proceed as follows:
1Rotate the Jog Dial™ to select Security and press the Jog Dial™.
Alternatively, tap the Security icon in the Application Launcher screen.
The Security screen appears.
2Tap Assigned.
The Password dialog box appears.
3Enter the current password and then tap OK.
The dialog box used to enter a new pas sword appears.
4To change the password, enter a new password and then tap OK.
To delete the password, tap Delete.
