The HotSync screen appears again.

6Tap Modem and t hen select Service.

The Preferences screen is displayed.

7Tap the arrow next to Service and then select a service from the drop-down list.

8Tap Done.

9Tap the Menu icon.

10 Tap Option s, and then tap Conduit Setup.

When connecting to a network computer with a cable

To connect to the network computer via a c able, proceed as follows:

1Rotate the Jog Dial™ to select HotSync and then press the Jog Dial™.

Or tap the HotSync® icon on the Application Launcher screen.

The HotSync screen appears.

2Tap th e Menu icon.

3Tap LAN Sync Prefs from the Options menu.

The LANSync Preferences screen is displayed.

4Tap LANSy nc.

5Tap OK.

The HotSync screen appears again.

6Tap th e Menu icon.

7Tap Conduit Setup from the Options menu.

8Perform a local HotSync® operation.

Follow the instructions in Pe rforming a local HotSync® (page 74).
