Note: Windows includes some special built-in fonts that were not meant for printing, including Helv and Tms RMn. These fonts were designed for screen display so their resolution is coarser than the fonts normally used for printing. We recommend that you should not select these fonts when you create your document. If you only need TrueType fonts, which are usually identified with a TT symbol on your font list, you can eliminate them from appearing in your application using the procedure below.

These screen fonts will remain on your hard disk for needs that may arise in the future.

Eliminating screen fonts from your application

Steps:

1.Switch to the Program Manager.

2.Open the Main group in the Program Manager by double-clicking on its icon.

3.Double-click on the Control Panel icon.

4.Double-click on the Fonts icon.

5. Click the TrueType button.

6.Select Show Only TrueType Fonts in Application, and click OK to exit this window.

7.Click Close to exit the Fonts window.

8.Select Exit from the Settings menu to exit the Control Panel window.
