PostScript printing errors

If you get a PostScript error when printing from Aldus PageMaker, Aldus FreeHand, QuarkXPress, or Canvas, you may be using an older or incorrect version of the printer description Þle.

1.You should always use the most current printer description Þle. To determine the date of the Þle you are using, do the following:

Mac OS users:

Select (highlight) a printer description Þle. From the File menu, choose Get Info. Make a note of the version date. Or, open the Systems folder, then the Extensions folder, and then the Printer Descriptions folder to Þnd the Þle name and date.

Windows 3.1 users:

In the File Manager, open the Windows folder, then the Phsrmtch folder. Make a note of the version date of the Þle.

Windows 95 users:

In Windows Explorer, select the Phsrtool directory. Check a printer description ÞleÕs creation date. Make a note of the version date.

2.Check TektronixÕ on-line services to see if the printer-related Þles you have are the most recent. Refer to ÒOn-line supportÓ on page 9-1 for information on TektronixÕ on-line services and ÒReceiving email update noticesÓ on page 9-1.
