Connecting to a Macintosh

Connect Macintosh computers on a network through the built-in Ethernet interface. An optional LocalTalk network card is available.

Turning on the printer

1.Plug the power cord into the printer and into a grounded outlet.

2.Turn on the printer.

Note To ensure optimum printing performance and best ink economy, always leave the printer turned on. The printer automatically switches into a standby mode during periods of infrequent use to reduce power consumption.
