Connecting the GPIB
Observe these rules when you set up the AD007 GPIB-LAN Adapter
witha GPIB system:
HConnect only one AD007 GPIB-LAN Adapter on a given GPIB.
HEach device on the bus needs a unique device address. No two
devices can share the same device address.
HDo not connect more than 15 devices to any one bus.
HConnect one device for every 2 m (6 ft) of cable used.
HDo not use more than 20 m (65 ft) of cable to connect devices to
a bus.
HTurn on at least two-thirds of the devices on the GPIB system
while you use the system.
HConfigure the devices on the system as shown in Figure 7. Do not
use loop or parallel configurations.
