Setting Attenuation Levels

OA 5000 Series User Manual 2 --- 7

Toset the attenuation level to minimum, press the MIN ATT button.

Setting the attenuation tominimum sets the absolute attenuation to 0 dB.

This means that the OA 5000 is notattenuating the optical input. However,

the attenuation displaymay not read 0 dB. As noted above, if the attenua-

tion displaymode is set to relative, the attenuation display willshow the

absolute attenuationvalue (0 dB after pressing MIN ATT) minus the value of

the reference. If the reference value is non-zero, then the attenuationdisplay

will not be 0 dB after pressingMIN ATT.
