sets the bits in the SRER to 00110000 binary.

might return a value of 32, showing that the bitsin the SRER have the
binary value 00100000.
*STB? (Query Only)
The *STB? (Read Status Byte) query returns the Status Byte Register(SBR)
using the Master Summary Status (MSS) bit. Fora complete discussion of

STORe (Store Attenuation)
The STORe command sets or reads the valueof stored positions 1 or 2.
Using the command form (forexample, STOR1) without a value specified
stores the current attenuation inthe specified location.
