Entering Characters by Tapping the Keypad

To enter characters by tapping the keypad, select the abc mode (see “Selecting a Character Input Mode” on page 26).

Press the corresponding key until the desired character appears.

To change the letter case, press Shift . It appears as (normal),

(initial cap.), or (caps. lock).

To enter digits, press and hold the digit key.

Characters scroll in the following order:

After a character is entered, the cursor automatically advances to the next space after one second or when you enter a character on a different key.
