Imprinter Panel Options

Use the imprinter tab to set the options for printing data on the pages as they are scanned. The imprinter options are only available if you have an imprinter unit installed in the scanner. Depending on your scanner model, you may have two imprinter options in the TWAIN interface. Only the imprinter options appropriate for your scanner will be available in the interface.

Use imprinter—select this option to enable the features in the Imprinter tab for you to configure the text strings you want to have printed on the page.

If you are using a scanner that has two imprinters installed, select the imprinter you want to configure from the list. Only one imprinter can be used at a time, you cannot enable and configure both imprinters.

•Pre-imprinter—prints the character strings defined on this tab on the pages before the pages are scanned. These strings then appear in the scanned image. The pre-imprinter only prints on the simplex (face up) side of the page.

•Post-imprinter—prints the character strings defined on this tab on the pages after they are scanned. The post-imprinter only prints on the duplex (back) side of the page.

Text format template—input the text you want to have printed on the scanned pages. The following table shows the available alphanumeric characters and symbols that can be printed. A maximum of 72 characters can be printed, which includes text you type in the input field as well as any tokens you select from the token list.

Tokens—click the down arrow and select a token from the list, then click the arrow button to add that value to the character string field. You can add up to 3 tokens from this token list. The amount of text you can type in the Text format template field will be reduced by the number of characters that will be printed using the tokens you selected.

•{FN} – inserts the scanner name.

•{User} – inserts the user name.

•{Mach} – inserts the computer name.

•{#_b} – inserts the step number with spaces padding the number based on the select number of Counter digits.
