AUX OUTPUT (AUDIO-OUTPUT)

You can connect an external amplifier or external speakers (4 ohms, not supplied) with a stereo audio cable to the AUX OUTPUT jacks (12) at the rear of the device.

Note: The built in speakers of the device will be not muted.

RADIO FM / AM (All controls are at the front of the device)

1.Set the function selector (3) to the RADIO position.

2.Set the band selector (4) to FM or AM.

3.Select your favorite station with the tuning control (7), the frequency will be shown on the frequency scale.

4.Turn VOLUME (6) to adjust the volume.

5.To turn off the radio press button POWER (1) or switch with the function selector (3) to the PHONO position.

Antenna

Uncoil the FM wire antenna (10) at the rear of the unit. For better FM reception move the wire antenna.

For better AM reception rotate the whole device, until you find the best reception (built in ferrite antenna).

TURNTABLE

Open the cover of the turntable by lifting it with the left and right handholds.

Unlock the tone arm rest locking device and remove the protective cover from the stylus towards the front.

Playback of a record

1.Set the function selector (3) at the front to PHONO.

2.Place a record centered on the turntable (1). When playing singles (17cm) use the 45-rpm on the axis in the middle.

3.Set the speed selector (6) according to the record to 33, 45 or 78 position.

4.Lift the tone arm (5) with the cue lever (4).

5.Place the stylus above the edge of the record or any position above the record you want to play.

6.Lower the tone arm (5) with the cue lever (4) carefully on the record to start playback.

7.At the end of the record the turntable stops automatically. Lift the tone arm (5) carefully with the cue lever (4) off the record and place it back on the tone arm rest (8).

8.To interrupt or stop playback before the end of the record, lift the tone arm (5) carefully with the cue lever (4) off the record and place it back on the tone arm rest (8).

9.For some records the turntable stops before the end of the record. In this case set the auto stop switch (9) at the rear to OFF to enjoy the full length of the record.

Important Notes

Do not stop or rotate the turntable by hand.

Do not lift the tone arm manually off a turning record; use instead the cue lever (4).

Use the tone arm locking device to avoid damage to pick-up system and stylus.

At nonuse fix the stylus guard of the stylus at the pick-up system.

To extend the lifespan of pick-up system and stylus, clean records before playback.

After a certain period of use the stylus has to be exchanged.

Replace stylus

1.Lift the tone arm (5).

2.Pull the old stylus carefully off while holding the pick-up system with the other hand.

3.Replace the new stylus and push carefully until it clicks in place (hold on the outside to avoid damage).

The Elta 2957 is a premier ground-based radar system designed to provide comprehensive surveillance capabilities for airspace management and security operations. Its sophisticated technology sets it apart as an essential tool for military and civilian applications alike.

One of the main features of the Elta 2957 is its advanced Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) technology. This innovative radar system uses a phased array, allowing it to electronically steer the beam of energy without moving parts. This capability ensures rapid target acquisition and tracking, significantly enhancing situational awareness in dynamic environments. The AESA technology also allows for simultaneous multi-target tracking, making it an invaluable asset for monitoring multiple aerial threats.

The Elta 2957 operates in the S-band frequency range, which provides an optimal balance between range and resolution. This frequency choice allows the radar to detect a variety of airborne objects, including small UAVs, combat aircraft, and incoming missiles, ensuring versatile applications across different operational theaters. Its high resolution offers a detailed view of the operational landscape, enabling decision-makers to respond effectively to potential threats.

In terms of characteristics, the Elta 2957 boasts a high level of resistance to electronic countermeasures. Its capabilities are further enhanced by sophisticated signal processing algorithms that filter out noise, ensuring that operators receive clear and actionable data. This resilience against jamming is crucial for maintaining operational integrity in conflict scenarios.

The system is designed for ease of integration into existing command and control infrastructures. Its modular architecture facilitates upgrades and compatibility with other defense systems, ensuring long-term usability as technologies evolve. Furthermore, the radar is mobile, allowing for rapid deployment and reconfiguration in response to emerging threats.

With its combination of advanced technologies, high-resolution performance, and robust operational features, the Elta 2957 stands out as a leading solution in the realm of ground-based radar systems. It serves as a critical asset for nations seeking to enhance their airspace security and situational awareness, paving the way for superior defense operations in an increasingly complex aerial environment.
