If You Lose Your Master Code

A user who forgets the master code can have it reset by calling DEWALT customer service for assistance. Please have the Base Unit near you when calling customer service.

Turn System Off

This system has been designed to be portable. If changing site locations, it is recommended to place the unit into the standby mode to transport or store the Base Unit. This will preserve the battery life and protect the unit while unplugged.

1.Start at the main screen.

2.Select MENU or press MAIN MENU on the keypad.

3.Using the keypad, enter the master code.

4.Use the up and down arrows to scroll through the menu until the Standby screen is dis- played. Select OK.

6.Verify that the system is to be placed in standby. Select YES.

7.Using the keypad, enter the master code.

8.If the master code is correct, the unit will go into the standby state. For 2 seconds, the Going To Sleep... screen is displayed:

While the system is in the standby state, the POWER LED will flash once every 5 seconds. To resume activity, plug the Base Unit into the wall outlet.

NOTE: After power is restored, the Base Unit makes a call to verify communication with the monitioring service. When the alarm signal is received by the monitoring service, the user is notified.

Battery Maintenance

Do not attempt to access the battery in the Base Unit. Follow all instructions regarding the installation and disposal of device batteries.

BASE UNIT BATTERY

The Base Unit contains a lead-acid battery. The battery cannot be accessed by a user; it is to be replaced and properly disposed of by a DEWALT authorized service center only. Do not operate the Base Unit in the inverted (upside-down) position. Overcharging in the inverted position may cause battery leakage from the safety valve.

DEVICE BATTERIES

Never use a damaged or worn out battery. Discharged batteries should be replaced only with type CR-123 (CR-2 for Key Chain Remote) 3.0 Volt non-rechargeable Lithium batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

Carefully remove the old, discharged, battery. Do not attempt to open. Do not peel off the label from a battery pack. Never dispose of a battery in a fire. Dispose of used bat- teries in accordance with local regulations. Recycle batteries.

Carefully follow all instructions and warnings on the battery label and package. Always insert batteries correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -) marked on the battery and the equipment. When installing the battery, do not use excessive force. If the battery does not fit, check to make sure that it matches the polarity markings.

Never expose the battery terminals to any other metal object. This can short circuit the battery. Avoid exposure to temperature extremes. When not in use, store the battery in a cool, dark, dry place. Keep batteries out of reach of children.

IMPORTANT: After installing the battery, press the RESET button to re-register the sensor and restore programming.
