5If you are using a Windows 95/98/Me/2000/NT client system, you may also need to turn on Local Echo in the Terminal Preferences dialog box so that the Telnet utility will display your typed input. To do this:
n From the menu at the top of the Telnet window, select
Terminal Preferences. The Terminal Preferences dialog box is displayed.
n Click the checkbox next to Local Echo to turn it on. A checkmark is displayed in the checkbox. Local Echo is now set on.
n Click OK to close the Terminal Preferences dialog box.
