GPIB Characteristics

The GPIB connection conforms to IEEE 488.1 - 1987 specifications. Per this specification, the following constraints exist:

Total Bus length:	Less than 2 meters x number of devices and no
	more than 20 meters total length.
Length between devices:	Less than 2 meters between each device or
	equivalent standard load.
Total number of devices:	15 devices or less (includes Gateway).
Address restrictions:	Address 31 is a reserved IEEE 488 address.
	Address 21 is normally used by the E2050
	LAN/GPIB Gateway, unless changed in the
	configuration table.
Drivers:	48mA three-state drivers (E2).
