Step 10. After the selections are complete, press the START CAL soft key to begin calibration.

Step 11. Install calibration device per instruction on the display. Select the appropriate soft key to measure. Connect a cable between Test Port 1 and Test Port 2 of MS4782X Test Set when the soft- ware prompts for a throughline on the display.

Step 12. When the “CALIBRATION SEQUENCE COMPLETED” mes-

sage is displayed, press the Enter key to continue.

Step 13. Press Avg key and select:

I.F. BW 10 Hz

Step 14. Remove the through cable between Test Port 1 and Test Port 2 of MS4782X Test Set and connect terminations to both ports.

Step 15. Press Display key and then select SCALE.

Step 16. Set REFERENCE VALUE to -80.

Step 17. Verify that the trace is less than -80 dB.
