Zip Drive
Zip drive does not | 1 | Check that the Zip drive shows up in Apple System Profiler. |

| If it does, go to step 2. If it does not, go to step 6. |
| 2 | Mac OS 9: Make sure the driver is turned on in Extensions |

| 3 | Replace the Zip disk with a |
| 4 | Check that the Zip drive shows up in Apple System Profiler |

| as ID = 1 (slave). If it does not, check the connector. There |

| should be no jumper on the |
| 5 | Reinstall system software. |
| 6 | Reseat the drive data and power cables on the back of Zip |
|
| drive. |
| 7 | Replace the Zip drive. |
| 8 | Replace the drive data cable. |
| 9 | Try another connector on the power cable harness. If there is |
|
| a bad connector on the harness, replace the power supply. |
