Zip disk ejects		1	Replace the Zip disk with a known-good disk.
immediately after		2	Reseat the drive data and power cables on the back of the Zip
being inserted			drive.
		3	Check that the Zip drive shows up in Apple System Profiler
			as ID = 1 (slave). If it does not, check the connector. There
			should be no jumper on the 6-pin device setting’s connector.
		4	Reinstall system software.
		5	Replace the drive data cable.
		6	Replace the Zip drive.
Zip disk does not eject		1	Use the manual eject hole on the Zip drive to eject the stuck
			disk. Examine the disk for damage. Restart the computer, and
			hold down the manual eject button throughout the entire
			startup process. Once the system has started up, insert a
			known-good Zip disk and try ejecting it by dragging the disk
			icon to the trash can.
		2	Reseat the Zip drive bezel so the bezel slot aligns correctly.
		3	Reinstall system software.
		4	Replace the Zip drive.
		5	Replace the drive data cable.
Zip drive runs		1	Replace the Zip disk with a known-good disk.
continuously		2	Replace the Zip drive.
