Configuring a Microsoft Exchange 2003 messaging environment
Create a Windows account that has a Microsoft Exchange 2003 mailbox
You must create a Windows account that has a Microsoft Exchange 2003 mailbox so that the Windows account can authenticate with the Microsoft Exchange messaging server.
1.On any computer in the Windows domain, on the taskbar, click Start > Programs > Microsoft Exchange > Active Directory Users and Computers.
2.Create an account that has the following attributes:
•Name: BESAdmin
•Group membership: Domain User
3.Create a Microsoft Exchange mailbox for the account.
4.To activate the new mailbox, send a test email message.
After you finish:
If you cannot see the Windows account in the Microsoft Active Directory to verify that you created it, log in to a computer using the Windows account.

Configure Microsoft Exchange 2003 permissions for the Windows account
On each Microsoft Exchange 2003 server that hosts BlackBerry device users, you must configure Microsoft Exchange permissions for the Windows account (for example, BESAdmin) that you want to use to install the BlackBerry Enterprise Server components.
