5.2ACCESSING LOCAL MANAGEMENT

With your terminal properly configured and the correct physical cable connections in place, you can access Local Management.

To access Local Management:

1.Turn the terminal on. The TRXI Password screen shown in Figure 5-3 appears.

2.Enter your Password. (The factory default password is the Return key.)

Note: Your password is one of the community names specified in the Community Name Table. Access to certain Local Management capabilities depends on the degree of access accorded that community name. See Section 5.3.2 for more information about community names.

3.If your password is valid, the Main Menu screen shown in Figure 5-4 appears. If your password is not valid, the cursor returns to the beginning of the password field.
