Adjusting the Focus Manually

1.Set the mode dial to a mode other than .

2.Adjust the zoom.

3.Press the FOCUS button.

“MF” appears.

4.Turn the focus ring to adjust the focus.

Turn the focus ring until the image appears focused.

Press the FOCUS button to return to autofocus.

The setting resets to autofocus when you switch the mode dial to .

Readjust the focus when you have turned off the camcorder.

Infinity Focus

Use this function when you wish to focus on faraway subjects such as mountains or fireworks.

Press the FOCUS button more than 2 seconds after step 2 in Adjusting the Focus Manually.

When you operate the zoom or turn the focus ring, “ ” changes to “MF” and the camcorder changes to manual focusing mode.
