Configuring the IP Address and ESI Address

On an ATM subinterface, configure the IP address and an ESI address.

Take these steps:

2Router# configure terminal Router(config)#

3Router(config-if)# interface atm port[/slot ][.subinterface ]

4Router(config-subif)# ip address address mask

Purpose

Enter privileged EXEC mode.

Enter global configuration mode.

Configure an ATM subinterface.

Configure an IP address on the subinterface.
