Installing Antennas for Cisco 890 Series

The Cisco 890 series wireless routers have three reverse-polarity threaded Neill-Concelman (RP-TNC) connectors on the back panel. The antennas that are shipped with the router are dual-band 2.4-GHz to 5-GHz omnidirectional dipole antennas.

Warning All wireless LAN products in the 5.2/5.3GHz band cannot be used outdoors. Use the product only indoors. Statement 372

Note Before you install the Cisco 890 series wireless router on a table, wall, or rack, connect the antennas to the back panel. It is difficult to attach the antennas after the router is installed.
