8.4.2. RS485

At the LINK menu,

Double-click RS-485 or highlight RS-485 and then press the ENTER button and you can see the RS-485 menu like the left picture.

Click the X button or press the ESC button to exit from this screen.

8.4.2.1. SYSTEM ID

Select the DVR’s system ID between 0 to 255. The system ID should be issued when controlling multiple DVRs with a keyboard controller. The address should also be issued when controlling PTZ cameras from the DVR. The default ID is 1.

Refer to chapter 8.4.1.2.1. IP ADDRESS on page 75 for setting.

8.4.2.2. BAUD RATE

Select the communication speed. Available speeds are from 1200 to 57600.

Click the left button of the mouse on the value. Or in case of using the remote controller or the front panel buttons, highlight BAUD RATE and press the ENTER button and then move the cursor to the desired value using the ▲,▼ buttons and press the ENTER button.

The default speed is 57600.

8.4.2.3. DATA BIT

Select the data bit. Available options are 6 to 8. The default bit is 8.

8.4.2.4. PARITY BIT

Select the parity bit. Available options are ODD, EVEN and NONE. The default is NONE. Refer to chapter 8.4.2.2. BAUD RATE on page 79 for setting.

8.4.2.5. STOP BIT

Select the stop bit. Available options are 1 and 2. The default is 1.

8.4.3. E-MAIL

The DVR is capable of sending e-mails when an event occurs to up to five different e-mail addresses.

NOTE:

If you want to use this function, you have to input DNS address.
