default-information originate
Use the default-information originate command in Router OSPFv3
Configuration mode to control the advertisement of default routes. Use the
no form of the command to return the default route advertisement settings
to the default value.
Syntax
default-information originate [always] [metric
integer
] [metric-type {1 | 2}]
no default-information originate [metric] [metric-type]
always
— Always advertise default routes.
integer
— The metric (or preference) value of the default route. (Range:
1–16777214)
1—External type-1 route.
2—External type-2 route.
metric
— Specify the metric of the default route.
metric-type
— Specify metric-type of the default route.
Default Configuration
2 is the default value for metric-type.

Router OSPFv3 Configuration mode.
User Guidelines
This command has no user guidelines.
Example
The following example controls the advertisement of default routes by
defining a metric value of 100 and metric type 2.
