Configuration Guidelines
The Matrix X16‐C provides 20 slots that accept modules. IOM (Input/Output Module) slots are numbered 1 through 8 beginning with the bottom left‐most slot and continuing from 9 through 16 beginning at the top left. Two Fabric Module slots, labeled FM1 and FM2, are located in the middle of the chassis, and beneath them, Control Module slots CM1 and CM2.
The three slots located at the very bottom of the chassis are reserved for fan trays. Three optional fan tray slots are located at the top of the chassis. Lastly, six Power Supply slots occupy the right side of the chassis.
