Repacking the BlackDiamond 12802 Chassis

To repack the BlackDiamond 12802 chassis for return to Extreme Networks:

1Prepare the shipping box. Remove saved packing materials except the lower foam cushion, which

should be in the bottom of the box.

2Remove all modules and power supplies from the chassis. Follow correct Extreme Networks

procedures for removing components from the BlackDiamond chassis.

3Remove the chassis from the equipment rack as follows:

aLoosen and remove the eight mounting screws holding the chassis to the rack.

bGuide the chassis out of the rack and set it on a secure, flat surface.

4Remove the rack-mounting brackets.

5Place the chassis into the shipping bag.

6Carefully set the chassis onto the foam cushion in the bottom of the shipping carton (see Figure86.)

7Set the top foam cushion in place over the chassis (see Figure 86).

8Close the top flaps and seal them securely with packing tape.
