About MENU mode

In the MENU mode, various essential setting and execution menu items are available. While the unit is stopped, pressing the [ENTER/YES] key enters the MENU mode and the display shows the MENU list screen. There are eleven menus in the MENU list. You can select a desired menu using the [MENU] dial.

This chapter describes four of the eleven menus marked by "*" in the table below. For details of the other menus, see the appropriate sections (pages) indicated below.

* SYS SETUP menu

This menu includes menu items for setting preferences. 23 menu items are avail-

able.

 

 

 

* TC SETUP menu

This menu includes menu items regarding time code recording/playback, synchro-

nization to an external device, etc. Fifteen menu items are available.

 

 

 

* DISK UTILITY menu

This menu includes menu items for settings regarding a DVD-RAM disk and the

optional hard disk drive, as well as disk formatting. Twelve menu items are available.

 

 

 

TCP/IP SETUP menu

This menu includes menu items regarding TCP/IP settings for using the unit as an

FTP server in the Ethernet. Five menu items are available. See page 76 for details.

 

 

 

RS422 SETUP menu

This menu includes menu items regarding settings for controlling the unit via RS422.

Four menu items are available. See page 71 for details.

 

 

 

FILE SEL menu

This menu allows you to select an audio file. You can directly enter this menu simply

by pressing the [FILE SEL] key. See page 59 for details.

 

 

 

DRV/PAT SEL menu

This menu allows you to select a drive/partition. You can directly enter this menu by

pressing the [FILE SEL] key while holding down the [SHIFT] key. See page 83 for

 

details.

 

 

CUE LIST menu

This menu allows you to view and edit the cue list. You can directly enter this menu

simply by pressing the [MARK/CUE] key. See page 56 for details.

 

 

 

 

This menu allows you to create and edit an ALE file. You can directly enter this menu

EDIT EDL FILE menu

by pressing the [LIST PLAY] key while holding down the [SHIFT] key. See page 99

 

for details.

* LOAD SETUP menu

This menu allows you to load the settings saved by using the SAVE SETUP menu.

* SAVE SETUP menu

This menu allows you to save the whole settings in the MENU mode.
