Digital output signal format selection [Digital out]

The "Digital out" menu item selects the format (AES/EBU or S/P DIF) of the digital signal which is output from the [DIGITAL I/O] connector.

Select the "Digital out" menu item and press the [ENTER/YES] key.

The current setting starts flashing and you can now select the desired option.

Selectable between "AES/EBU" and "S/P DIF" (the default is "AES/EBU").

AES/EBU IEC 60958 (AES/EBU) format digital signal is output.

SPDIF

IEC 60958 (S/P DIF) format digital signal is output.

Use the [MENU] dial to select the desired format and press the [ENTER/YES] key to confirm your setting. Press the [STOP/HOME] key to exit the MENU mode.

Pre recording time setting [Pre rec time]

The "Pre rec time" menu item sets the pre recording time of audio pooled in the buffer. When starting recording while the Pre rec mode is set to "ON" (the [PRE REC] indicator lights), recording is made from the audio pooled in the buffer. This prevents missing the start of a take. The setting is stored to the Flash ROM of the unit.

Select the "Pre rec time" menu item and press the [ENTER/YES] key.

The current setting starts flashing and you can now select the desired time.

You can select time between "1 sec" and "10 sec" in one-second steps. (the default is "10 sec".)

Use the [MENU] dial to set the desired time and press the [ENTER/YES] key to confirm your setting. Press the [STOP/HOME] key to exit the MENU mode.

<Note>: If you execute pre recording at 88.2k or 96k FS, the pre recording time automatically reduces to half the selected value. For example, if the pre recording time is set to ten seconds, the buffer stores only five seconds of audio data.
