3) [P2/ES BUSS/INPUT] connector

This connector is used for controlling the unit from an external video editor,

etc. The hardware specification is conformed to RS-422A.

The connector type is D-sub 9-pin, female.

4) Terminate switch (100Ω, ON/OFF)

To terminate the [P2/ES BUSS/INPUT] connector, set this switch to ON.

5) [P2/ES BUSS/THRU] connector

This connector echoes the control signal received at the [P2/ES BUSS INPUT]

connector. See "[P2/ES BUSS INPUT] connector" above for the pin assignment.

The connector type is D-sub 9-pin, female.

6) Blank panels

When installing the optional TC/SYNC card and IEEE1394/USB card, remove

these panels.

7) Cooling fan

This fan ventilates the DV824.

If the ventilation is disturbed, the DV824 may overheat. Therefore, do not block

the vent of the cooling fan.

8) [DC IN 12V] connector

This connector is used to connect to the supplied AC adaptor (Model AD-15C).

The connector type is XLR-4-32.
