The speaker is attached to the front of the chassis under the rotating drive cage.

1.Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for Disassembly on page 160).

2.Remove the access panel (Access Panel on page 161).

3.Remove the front bezel (Front Bezel on page 162).

4.Rotate the drive cage to its upright position.

5.Disconnect the speaker wire from the white system board labeled SPKR (1).

6.Remove the Torx screw that secures the speaker to the chassis (2).

7.Lift the speaker from the inside of the chassis to remove it (3). Figure 8-34Removing the speaker

To install the speaker, reverse the removal procedures.
