Printing a File

To print a file, use one of the following command lines in a terminal window

lp filename

or

lp -dprintername filename

where filename is the name of the file that you want to print, and printername is the name of the printer on which you wish to print the file.

The lp command sends files to a printer.

1Click on the Terminal Control on the Front Panel of your Workspace. A terminal window opens.

2Move the mouse cursor into the terminal window and click the left mouse button.

3Enter the lp command as described above.
