Setting Up Your Printer

Setting Up a Local Printer Using SAM

30If you made your printer the default system printer, enter the following command to test your printer:

lp .vueprofile

If your printer isn’t the default system printer, enter the following command to test your printer:

lp -dprintername .vueprofile

where printername is the name you chose when setting up your printer.

The lp command sends ﬁles to a printer.

The ﬁle named .vueproﬁle prints out on the printer.

If the ﬁle doesn’t print, see the section titled “Printing Problems,” later in this chapter.
