Basic Steps

For the server-side, HP EFS WAN Accelerators, follow the procedures for an out-of-

(Server-Side)

path, failover support deployment. For detailed information, see “Out-of-Path,

Failover Deployment” on page 30.

 

Hybrid: In-Path and Out-of-Path Deployment

A hybrid deployment serves offices with one WAN routing point and users, and where the HP EFS WAN Accelerator must be referenced from remote sites as an out-of-path device (for example, to avoid mistaken auto-discovery or to bypass intermediary HP EFS WAN Accelerators).

The following figure illustrates the client-side of the network where the HP EFS WAN

Accelerator is configured as both an in-path and out-of-path device.
