Organization of This Guide

The HP StorageWorks Enterprise File Services WAN Accelerator Deployment Guide includes the following chapters:

‹Chapter 1, “Designing an HP EFS WAN Accelerator Deployment,” describes the HP EFS WAN Accelerator and provides an overview of how it works. It also describes how to design and deploy the HP EFS WAN Accelerator in your network.

‹Chapter 2, “In-Path Deployments,” describes physical in-path deployments.

‹Chapter 3, “Virtual In-Path Network Deployments,” describes virtual in-path deployments.

‹Chapter 4, “Out-of-Path Network Deployments,” describes out-of-path deployments.

‹Chapter 5, “Configuring Connection Forwarding,” describes how to configure the HP EFS WAN Accelerator to forward connections in asymmetric networks.

‹Chapter 6, “Policy-Based Routing Deployments,” describes how to configure the HP EFS WAN Accelerator for deployments using PBR, Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP), and autodiscovery.
