5.Use the arrow buttons to select the Private Receive menu, and then press the OK button.

6.Use the arrow buttons to select the Off option, and then press the OK button.

If any unprinted faxes exist in the fax memory, the product will print the faxes and then erase them from memory.

Once the Private Receive setting is activated, the product is able to print private fax jobs.

Set fax polling

If someone else has set up a fax to be polled, you can request that the fax be sent to your product. (This is known as polling another machine).

1.On the control panel, press the Fax Menu button.

2.Use the arrow buttons to select the Receive Options menu, and then press the OK button.

3.Use the arrow buttons to select the Polling Receive option, and then press the OK button. The product dials the other fax machine and requests the fax.

Disable the product fax

You can disable the product fax functions — software and firmware — from the control panel. If the fax functions are disabled, downstream devices connected to the product “telephone” fax port will still operate. The product will not receive and store any faxes sent to the product.

1.At the control panel, press the Setup button.

2.Use the arrow buttons to select the System Setup menu, and then press the OK button.

3.Use the arrow buttons to select the Disable Fax menu, and then press the OK button.

4.Use the arrow buttons to select the On option, and then press the OK button.

5.Complete one of the following steps:

If a password has been set under the Product Security setting, enter the password, and then press the OK button.

If a password has not been set under the Product Security setting, create one when prompted, and then press the OK button.

Use the same procedure to enable the fax. The Off setting restores the fax functions.
