Troubleshooting DVADB Use the troubleshooting procedure below if the DW6002 is
unable to connect through VADB, or not able to authenticate with
the server. Before starting the procedure, verify the DW6002 is
commissioned.
1. Verify the Transmit LED is lit before attempting to connect
via VADB. If it is not then check the connections and serial
cable.
2. Attempt to connect via the internal modem three times. If the
connection fails all three times, continue with Step3. If the
internal modem connects, the DW6002 is set up for use with
VADB.
3. Verify the phone number is correct and has the right prefix
and suffix.
a. Open the Advanced pages.
b. From the right most drop-down box, choose
vadb_config_show(). See Figure 127.
c. Verify prim phone_num and bakup phone_num are correct
and have the correct prefix and suffix.
4. If the number being dialed is incorrect, request the NOC
update the phone number(s).
5. Attempt to connect via the internal modem three times. If the
connection fails all 3 times then continue with Step6. If the
internal modem connects, then the DW6002 is set up for use
with VADB.
