You must confirm remote location and transponder information before pointing the antenna. You will point the antenna, achieve maximum signal quality factor (SQF), and then cross pol the antenna. Refer to the antenna installation guide for any instructions on peaking signals.

1.Open a browser on the installer laptop.

2.Type http://198.162.0.1/fs/advanced/ advanced.html in the address bar and press Enter. The Advanced screen appears.

3.Click Setup. The Setup screen appears. See Figure 15.

4.Select Registration - Installer. The Antenna Location screen appears. See Figure 16.

5.Enter the ZIP code of the location where you are installing the DW6000 and select Next. The Antenna Location screen appears. See Figure 16. If you wish to enter the site’s latitude and longitude manually select Enter location manually and click next. See Figure 20. Appendix A – Lat/Long Decimals to Minutes Table, on page 67 shows how to determine latitude and longitude decimal to minutes conversion.

6.The Verification of Antenna Location screen appears. See Figure 17. Verify the information is correct and select Next The Satellite Parameters screen appears. See Figure 18.
